The Opening Ceremony on Jointly Building an Innovative Organization between the Party and the Masses by SIC and Logistics Engineering College,SMU
On the morning of April 2, the opening ceremony on jointly building an innovative organization between the party and the masses by SLC and Logistics Engineering College, SMU was held at the conference room in the administrtion building. President Xu Feng, Vice Presidents Pan Jianhua and Chen Wenye from SLC as well as President Huang Youfang, Vice President Wang Haiwei, Professor Mi Weijian and other leaders from SMU participated in the opening ceremony.
The leaders from SLC paid a visit to the campus model of SMU and had a deep discussion with the leaders from SMU at the administration building later on. At the meeting, Vice President Wang Haiwei from SMU issued Guest Professor Letter of Appointment to President Xu Feng from SLC and wore SMU badge to him.
In the speech, President Xu Feng not only showed gratitudes to the constant supports from the alma mater--SMU, but shared his own entrepreneurial experiences as well as felt a great responsibility in terms of being employed the Guest Professor. President Xu hoped that with this joint construction, both sides’ connection could be strengthened in order to realize the resource sharing. As an off-campus practice base, on the platform of joint construction, SLC is willing to provide internship and employment opportunities for the students from Logistics Engineering College so as to help them realise their dreams.
President Huang Youfang from SMU extended thanks to SLC. He not only affirmed President Xu’s concept of shouldering responsibilities and pursuing dreams, which is a crucial factor guiding the enterprise towards the development of an international level, but also President Huang hoped that Logistics Engineering College should have a deeper orentation for further development and at the same time upgrade educational quality so as to realise the mutual advantage complement between enterprise and university and jointly export talents for the whole society.
After the speech, leaders from both sides participated in the opening ceremony. After the ceremony, President Xu delivered a report to the students from the relevant majors. He shared the core competitiveness of SLC, analyzed the development trend of logistics and stressed the significance of innovation.

Complying with the direction of free trade zone development, answering company’s strategic planning and carrying the desires of cultivating high-quality talents for logistics industry, SLC keeps in touch with the institutions of higher learning. With the wide and intimate cooperation with SMU, SLC shoulders the responsibility of guiding the next generation of logistics industry and actively provides practice opportunities for the students. SLC has absorbed 26 excellent graduates from SMU. So far, SLC and SMU has laid a solid foundation for long-term and win-win cooperation.
It is hoped that the opening ceremony could boost a deeper cooperation for both sides and reach the mutually beneficial goal.
